Young Dracula is winging his way back to CBBC with a third season following the next chapter in the life of Vlad, the teenage son of Count Dracula.

Vlad is now a fully fledged vampire, honing and testing his new powers. The Count knows that Vlad, the chosen one, needs to be kept safe while he learns the tools to fulfil his destiny. But, as usual, The Count’s good intentions are undermined by his tendency to create drama and mayhem on a daily basis.

To celebrate the launch of the series, which was filmed on location in Liverpool, two new episodes will be shown at family Halloween screenings in The Crypt Hall of the Metropolitan Cathedral (access is via Brownlow Hill), Liverpool, on Saturday 29 October, 2011 at 11am and 2pm.

Cast members including Gerran Howell, who plays Vlad, Keith-Lee Castle (the Count), Sydney Rae White (Erin), Simon Ludders (Renfield), Letty Butler (Alex McCauley) and Cesare Taurasi (Bertrand) will be available for a Q&A session after each screening and to sign autographs. Costumes from the film set will also be on display.

**All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. These screenings are aimed at 8-12 year olds.**

I did laugh at the last bit though “aimed at 8-12 year olds”. As if that would stop me.
